Reed b county Derry, Ire, in 1835, son of John & Mary Reed, both natives of Ireland. John came to Pittsburgh in 1845 and was killed in an accident in 1868. William M. Reed m in 1860 to Josephine Krouskope and had 12 ch. Church Cemetery Warren Twp This cemetery is on ST. Rd 147 just past Co. Rd 120 on the right, going west. It is sw of Barnesville. It is back of the church and is well kept and still used. Some of the older section seems to be gone. Rev. John D. Price, born in Calvert Co., Md came to this section in 1817. He bought first in Sec. 13 and later came to Sec. 31. He then donated a half acre for a church and graveyard. The church was built in 1832 by Peter Hamilton and John Hays and was a log church. Mr. Price invited Rev. Avery West to preach the first sermon. Before the chruch was erected they met at the home of John REED in Sec 31. The first burial in the graveyard was that of Thomas Price, son of Rev. John D. He had son Alex who m Mary Lance and rem in 1815 to Richland & Wayne Co's O., then to Indiana where he d in 1861, age 80. His wife Mary d when Wm was an infant, then Alex m 2nd to Cassandra Keys who d at age over 90. Wm m at Beaver Falls to Eliza Grafton, dau of Wm & Cassandra Grafton. They res. many places-here in 1845. His wife d 1875 age 62. He m 2nd in 1877 to Mrs. Eliza (LYNN) Worthington, widow of Dr. Wm. Mck. Worthington. Robert C. Graves b Wheeling, W Va, 5/15/1836; m Martha Reed, 1858 F. W. Hibbard b 1/26/1844 in Barnesville, son of Hiram b Tuscarawas Co., O in 1821 & his wife Sarah Hamilton, dau of Francis Hamilton of Harrison Co., O. Hiram & Francis Hamilton had: E.T. (res Nebr); Mary (REED), Nellie (McClelland), John H. (of Columbus), Jesse & F.W. Hiram d 1868 and Sarah m 2nd Robert Thompson. F.W. m 1866 to Delia Ogle and had 7 ch. Hiram Hibbard was son of Caleb Hibbard b Chester Co., Pa in 1781. He settled in Tuscarawas Co., O in 1819. Caleb m Matilda Stowe, a relative of John Quincy Adams and Harriet B. Stowe. Caleb was a Quaker. B.P. Reed b here 12/18/1846 son of Wm & Eliza (Grafton), both b in Beaver Co., Pa., here in 1845 and had Emmeline (Baker), William, M.G., & B.P. In 1870 B.P. m Emma Kugler, dau of Charles. Had 3 ch. Washington Twp Pioneers Joseph Read, b near Williamsport, Md., in 1794, later to Hampshire Co., Va., then here in 1805 with his parents, and settled in the Captina Valley. Near their cabin were graves of white people who had been killed by the Indians. Joseph served in War of 1812. His father Wm. Read was a Rev. War Soldier and he lived for quite a while after coming to Ohio. Joseph's uncle Albert was killed by the Indians. Good luck with your research.
