Hello Autumn, In the book Tombstone Inscriptions and Family Records of Belmont Co., Oh by Esther Weygandt Powell, here is what I have found on the Denham surname: Colerain Twp Pioneer Families William L. Denham b here 1815, son of William, Sr here early. Wm, Jr m here 1839 to Mary Ann FIRNEY. Had 4 ch. St. Clairsville Union Cemetery Pultney Twp by the Compiler: This cemetery is on St. Rt 9, near U.S. Rt old 40. It is a huge cemetery and some sections are very old. It is very well cared for and old stones are carefully repaired. I was there a week in June 1960 and the caretaker at that time took great pride in its care. Some of the more recent inscriptions were not copied. At one time a log Presbyterian Church stood in about the center of the cemetery, built in 1797. A Quaker cemetery is close by and very old. Denham, John 1844-1921 wife Rebecca 1845-1922 Richland Twp Pioneers William Denham, native of Ire, here 1789. He went first to S.C. and m Rebecca SARGENT, then to this county. Had son John b here 10/22/1802. John became a Captain in Ohio Militia. He m in 1830 to Elizabeth GIFFEN, b in W. Va. 4/2/1813, dau of John & Elizabeth (MORRISON) Giffin. John Giffen b in Scotland in 1774; to WS with parents when 2 yrs of age. They were in Ft. Henry at time of seige. Elizabeth MORRISON, dau of Wm & Mary (HENRY) Morrison. John Denham and wife had: Sophia, Wm, Elizabeth (w/o Samuel WILEY); Emily (w/o Jos. HALL); May; Mary; Sarah (w/o Wm HALL); Jos & Maria. Son Joseph m 1873 to Louisa AULT, b 1854, dau of Jos & Ann (WILKINSON). Have fun on your trip. I miss Belmont Co.
