Boone b Roane Co., WVA, 1858, son of D.G. & Mary J. (PARSON) Boone. D.G. was a native of Green Co., Pa., and a son of Joseph Boone of Pa. Mary of W. Va. These Boones supposedly of same stock of Daniel Boone. Joseph d 1870 in Tyler Co., W.Va. He had 4 ch. D.G. Boone d 1855 and his widow remarried. Powhatan Point Cemetery York Twp Boone, Joseph S. C. Joseph b Greene Co., Pa., town of Jefferson, 8/24/1794 and his wife b Mapletown, Pa., 11/2/1796. The parents of Joseph wre James & Catherine (WILLIAMS) Boone. James b 1/21/1769. The original Boone stock came from Bradwick, England, about 8 miles from Exeter. George Boone was the first of the family to come to America. He landed in Phila in 1717 with wife and 11 ch. The names of three of their sons were: John, James, & Squire. Squire was the father of the famous Daniel Boone. John b 11/21/1745, m Sophia WHITEHEAD and had James & Susan. James b 1/21/1769. His father d soon after his birth and his mother m John RIDDLE of Reading, Pa. Riddle was a tory and later went to Canada. Joseph the son of James was the father of Dr. J.S. Boone. Dr. Boone served in Civil War. He m 1st in 1866 to Annie O'Haro, b Weston, W.Va 8/12/1842 and d 1867. He m 2nd Mary E. GALOWAY in 1867 of Tyler, W. Va and had a son Edgar.
