Plea: "not guilty" The finding of the jury was "Guilty" The Court sentenced Miller to pay a fine of $20.00, pay the costs of prosecution and be confined in the county jail ten days. The thief passed through this place and Graysville & crossed into VA at Tuel's ferry about 12 o'clock Monday the 23rd ult. From Sistersville he took the clay pike inot the interior. On Tuesday, Miller & constable Foutty of Jackson twp, accompanied by three other gentlemen, crossed into VA in pursuit. They followd him until Wed. noon, when they arrested him in Dodridge Co., 76 miles from the river. He gave his name as James Doss.
