Hello, I've been working on the Ollom family quite awhile and would like to share information with other descendents. I have a good deal more. The surname Ollom started right in Monroe County with Jacob. There are a few other Ollom's but they are rare and the given names are obviously Scandanivian. If you have corrections or can offer assistance especially with the missing Spouses or death dates and locations, I would appreciate it. If anyone has access to the Monroe Co., Cemetery transcriptions, I would like to know if any Olloms are buried in Ollom Cemetery. Thanks for reading, Penny Husler 1. Jacob Ulm/Ollum Jr. Born about 1761/62 in Philadelphia Co., Pennsylvania. Jacob died in Monroe Co., OH on 1 May 1840; he was 79. Religion: born Lutheran. bef 1790 when Jacob was 29, he first married Mary (Ollom), in (, Bucks Co., PA). Born in WFT Est. 1755-1783. Mary died bef 1820; she was 65. Born in WFT Est. 1755-1783. Unknown ? 2 daughters 8 vii. Isaac W. (1815->1890) m. Martha Simpson 9 viii. Jeremiah (ca1820-) (no further info) 10 ix. Benjamin B. (1821-1883) m. (Mary Harrison) On 10 May 1821 when Jacob was 60, he second married Sarah Ann Hawkenbury, in Tyler, (W) VA. Born in 1802 in PA. Born in 1790 in PA. Sarah Ann later married John S. Stewart moved to Meigs Co., and may have died in Procterville, Lawrence Co., OH aft 1880; she was 78 and living with Isaac. Isaac was probably also her son. We don’t know where Mary’s children stop and Sarah’s start. Some of the children are younger than her if her age is correct and it stayed the same or close on later Census info. There is a problem with there marriage date in that another Margaret Anna Hockenberry and Jacob Ullom of Dark Co. share the SAME date! I’m thinkin’ ….. ummmmmm …. "probably not." William "Jackson" died in Toronto, Jefferson Co., OH on 19 Apr 1881; he was 58. On 24 Nov 1842 he first married Rosanna Esdale, in Meigs Co., OH. Born on 30 Oct 1823 in OH. Rosanna died in Murraysville, Jackson Co., WV on 31 May 1849; she was 25. 36 i. William "Robert" (1849-1881) On 6 Nov 1850 he second married Catherine J. Stewart, in Jackson Co., WV. 37 i. Laura R. (~1851-) 38 ii. Sarah J. (1853-) On 15 Oct 1857 he third married Mary Ann Leonard, in Meigs Co., OH. 39 i. Isaac L . (1858-) bef 1859 he fourth married Mary Ann Caldwell. Born in Aug 1834/1835 in Orange Twp, Meigs Co., OH. Mary Ann died in Middleport, Meigs Co., OH on 16 Aug 1876; she was 42. 40 i. Gardner (1859-) 41 ii. William A. (1861-) 42 iii. Frederick (1867-) 43 iv. Rodney Downing (1872-) 44 v. Charles Edward (Died as Infant) (1874-1874) On 4 Jul 1878 when William "Jackson" was 55, he fifth married Hannah K. Myers, in Jefferson Co., OH. Born in 1825 in OH. Hannah K. died in Knox Twp., Jefferson Co., OH in 1911; she was 86.
