Sorry I can't help you with William Burdett but maybe you can help me. I am looking for William Johnston who was born about 1823. That would make him about the same age as the Mary Johnston who married your William Burdett. I'm not sure if William Johnston was born in Monroe County but he married Margaret Hickman and raised a large family there. If you have any information on this Johnston I would appreciate the help.
