Monroe Co., OH: The 1st 20yrs Commissioners' Journal 1815-1835 4th of June 1832-a Monday This day came Cornealius Okey and presented a petition for a view of a road from the one mile tree near Jonas Alford's, thence running northweternly to intersect a road near the corner of John Windland's field on the top of the hill south side of Sunfish Creek. Will Abstracts of Monroe Co., Oh Book 1 & 2 No listings Obitiuaries of Monroe Co., Oh Funeral services for John Edward Kernen, 81, who died at 7:30 Tuesday night in the family home, 3324 Belmont St., Bellaire, will be held in the Walter Bauknecht funeral parlors Friday afternoon at 1 o'clock. Rev. R. W. Huff of Belliare Church of Chrust will officiate and interment will be in Clarington cemetery. He was born in West Virginia, July 22, 1867, and practically all his life had been spent in Clarington and Belliare. Surviving is a daughter, Mrs. Clara Marling, Bellaire; two brothers, Godfrey Kernen, Brilliant, Oh; Jacob Kernen, Clarington; six sisters, Mrs. Wyema Kuntz, Mrs. Martha RUTTER, both of Bellaire; Mrs. Pearl Boyles, New Orleans; Mrs. Sarah Carothers, Elm Grove; Mrs. Anna Jones, Midvale, Oh; Mrs. Rebecca Gilmore, Clarington. Wednesday, October 13, 1948 ************** John Asa Crawford, son of Samuel & Martha Rockwell Crawford, was born at Calais, Oh, on November 5, 1878, and passed away at his home in Hannibal on Saturday, September 6, at the age of 73 yrs, 10 months, and one day. On October 13, 1900 he was married to Martha Jane RUTTER who survives with the following children: Mrs. Blanche Bennett, of Glassboro, New Jersey; Mrs Ruth Lauk, of New Cumberland, W.Va; Mrs. Zetta Potts of New Cumberland, W. Va; Mrs. Opal Huffman, of Sardis; Mrs. Marie Potts, of Woodsfield; Homer Crawford of Chester, W.Va; Everett Crawford, of Duffy. George, Ova, & Carleton preceded him in death. Mr. Crawford was a member of the Church of Christ and will be sadly missed in the home, church, and community. Our circle is broken Father is gone; A vacancy is created That will last from now on. Unless we determine By the lives we live To meet Him in Heaven A home beyond tears. So dear friends and neighbors Please join us in prayer To meet him in heaven The home over there. So Father, dear Father, May our parting goodbyes Keep us all bound together Till we meet in the skies. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, September 9, at 1:30 o'clock at the Rush Funeral Home, with additional rites at the Church of Christ at Duffy at 2:00, with Authur L. Probst, officiating. Interment was in the Duffy cemetery ****************** Harvey RUTTER passed away last Wednesday at his home here in his 82nd year, following an illness of several years. He had spent his entire life about here, was active in farm work, was a local minister in the M.E. Church, a prominent member of the I.O.O.F., and a good moral citizen. Two sons survive, his wife and two sons passed away many years since. Funeral services were conducted in the M.E. church by Rev. Tippett Sunday and were attended by a large concourse of relatives and friends, including the I.O.O.F. in a body. Trimbly when she died 16 Apr, b 20 Oct 1847, mar'd John F. Rutter 28 Mar 1886, he died 7 June 1892, no children survive: aged mother, 2 sisters, 4 brothers, buried Neuhart cemetery Vol 2 TSD 18 Mar 1863 Stray notice, John H. Rutter of Salem twp on Creek road leading from Clarington to Woodsfield in fore part of Oct 1862 found two head of cattle. TSD 21 Oct 1863 Married 24 Sept by Rev.
