Some remained while others eventually moved on to Lawrence Co. by the late 1840s. Given names I have knowledge of were John, Vincent, Thomas, Peter, Hugh, Jane and Melissa. I am also interested in members of this family who remained in Monroe Co. after the 1840s.
Ken Oates has a number of DILLON/DILLIONs at his website: http://www.voicenet.com/~koates/html/ixdx.htm The 1869 land map for Monroe Co. shows Henry DILLON less than a mile NW of Graysville; on the 1898 land map, Henry DILLON is about the same distance due south of Graysville. Missouri BEVER, who was born in 1840 and married James DRUM, had an unnamed sister who married David DILLON and lived in Ozark in 1910. Vincent DILLON, age 63, died at home in Lewisville 24 Aug 1910. He was Catholic, survived by wife and 5 children. Sarah Ann DILLON, 80y, relict of Thomas, d at her home in Stafford 1 May, 1898. Son: W.M. & daughters: Mrs. Wm DENBOW & Mrs. Evan WATKINS. DILLON, b. 1846-47, m. 29 Sep 1867 George KNOWLTON, b. 1848. They lived in Sistersville, Tyler Co. WV. Charles DILLON m. Ida B. KNOWLTON b. 21 Jan 1872, d. 20 May 1951 buried Akron Cem., Akron, OH.
