Rev. Secrest preached three very interesting and practical sermons. Miss Lillian Paden who has been employed in Wheeling for some time, is at home for an indefinite period. Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Gano and sons of Wheeling spent Saturday and Sunday of last week with friends. Mrs. Charles Thompson delightfully entertained the Ladies' Aid society on Thursday afternoon. Miss Ruth Case of Parkersburg is visiting her grandparents Mr. and Mrs. John Goodwin. Mrs. Webb and brother who have been visiting at Parkersburg returned home Thursday. Miss Edith English entertained several girl friends to a six o'clock dinner Saturday. Miss Verna Headley of New Martinsville spent Sunday with her friend Ethel Thompson. Miss Mae Harman called a meeting of the Epworth league Cabinet Tuesday evening. Mr. C.E. Frey and daughter Helen made a business trip to New Martinsville Friday. Miss Edna Bowen returned to Saint Mary's Monday after a brief visit at home. Mrs. Virginia Dennis returned to Sistersville after spending a few days at home. Miss Maud Ryne attended the millinery opening at Wheeling the past week. Miss Will Stalder spent last week with her sister Mrs. W. K. Martin. Messrs. Soles, English and Renshaw are home from the oil fields. Mrs. A.E. Walters and E. Litten were at Sistersville Friday. George Titus of Huntington, W.Va., was in town last week. Miss India Witten spent a few days at Sistersville last week. Revival services are in progress at the Christian church. Mrs. Leander Witten of Witten is visiting Mrs. Seph Soles. Miss Evelyne Nesbitt of Sistersville was home Sunday. Miss Ethel Winland is visiting relatives in Wheeling. William Busch was at New Martinsville Friday. Mrs. S. Williamson was at Wheeling Saturday. Miss Lizzie Gardner is visiting at Rosebud, W.Va. Miss Emma Vetter is visiting at Saint Marys. E.J.
