These Millers lived in Greene or Washington Co, PA, at an early date. The author, Morris Miller, was a convert to Quakerism, and the family, along with other Quakers of the area, moved on to Ohio, where they seem to have settled somewhat closely. Once he converted, he spoke condescendently about the rest of our folks who were unapologetic heathens. Reading his first-hand story and comparing it with the 1880's county history gave me a conflicting picture of the people we descended from. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in Greene or Washington Co, PA, history or to those with Millers in their genealogy. I do not remember if he mentioned his neighbors by name, but he certainly presents a sorry picture of them. A good and long read for those that like such stuff.
