Thompson returned Friday evening from a few days visit with friends at Temperanceville. Mr. and Mrs. John L. Harman and son Gordon of Marietta spent Sunday here with their parents. Mrs. A.C. Vetter and Miss Adda Knight visited friends in Wheeling Saturday and Sunday. E.D. Thompson left Sunday for Lincoln county, W.Va., to resume his work in the oil fields. Mrs. Jacob Schaffer and daughter Cora were shopping in New Martinsville Saturday. Capt. Morris Huffman of the Steamer Ohio was in town a couple of days last week. Mrs. W.E. Romick left Saturday for a visit with friends and relatives at Wheeling. Supt. J.V. Nelson was a business caller in Sistersville Saturday afternoon. Mrs. Thomas W. Martin is visiting relatives in Wheeling. E.D. Steenrod of Clarington was a caller in town Monday. Harry Winland was home from New Martinsville Sunday.
