Dunn of this place and Miss Sara Rogers of Wheeling were married at the Thompson M.E. parsonage at Wheeling Sunday November 21. Mrs. John L. Harman and son Gordon of Marietta are spending a week with her parents Mr. and Mrs. J.R. Hissom above town. Mr. and Mrs. J.M. Goodwin and Mr. and Mrs. M.E. Flaherty and daughter Silvia spent Thanksgiving at Parkersburg. Mrs. W.T. Webb and J.D. Nesbitt spent Thanksgiving at New Martinsville with R.T. Richardson and family. Miss Mabel Watson of Parkersburg is visit at the home of her grandmother Mrs. E. Knight. Miss Lou Wiley of Wheeling spent Thanksgiving here at the home of Dr. S.C. Griffith and family. Miss Maude Ryne attended the wedding of Miss Rose Gantzer at Bridgeport Thursday. Miss Mabel Rist who clerks in Snook's store in Wheeling spent Thanksgiving at home. Mr. and Mrs. J.V. Nelson spent Thanksgiving with their parents at Jerusalem. Mrs. Dr. S.C. Griffith spent Friday afternoon at the Kirkland home at Witten. Miss Gertrude Urpman of Clarington was a business caller here Friday. Miss Golia Farmer was at home a few days last week from Clarington. H.C. Thompson spent Thanksgiving with relatives at Fernwood, Ohio. Mrs. C.K. Gano of Wheeling is visiting her mother at this place. Mr. Maser of Wheeling is the guest of his friend Webster Hissom. William Goddard was business caller in Wheeling Saturday. Harry Winland was at home for Thanksgiving. Capt. S.V.
