Paden, jr., left Wednesday for New Martinsville where he will visit with relatives a short time before returning to his school work in Louisville, Ky. E. D. Taylor and family of Woodsfield are visiting with Miss Hattie Thompson and attended the Middlebourne fair Saturday, making the trip in their auto. Misses Helen Hyer and Winifred Voegley of Hannibal were guests of Miss Erma Vetter Saturday and Sunday. Mrs. J. O. Baxter and daughter Viola of New Matamoras are visiting her parents Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Watters. Miss Hattie Thompson entertained a few friends Monday evening at her home on Mound street. Miss Erma Vetter was hostess to a few of her friends Tuesday evening at her home of Mound street. Miss Erma Vetter entertained at her home Saturday evening. A very delightful evening was spent. Rev. J. D. Kaho left Monday for Youngstown where he will attend the annual conference. Miss Adda Cline left Wednesday for Moundsville where she will sew for a few weeks. Twin daughters were born to Mr. and Mrs.. W. E. Romick Sunday, September 17th.. D. A. Talbott of Armstrongs Mills is visiting with her sister Mrs. John Goodwin. Mrs. George Hubacher of Pittsburg is visiting with Mrs. J. P. Goodwin. Miss Maude Ryne was hostess to a crowd of her friends Tuesday evening. Henry Theiss of Pittsburg is the guest of relatives here for a short time. Charles Dennis and sister Miss Verna were callers in town Monday. Mrs. C. E. Sole was shopping in New Martinsville Thursday.
