Spirit of Democracy January 12, 1911 Sardis The fourth number of the High School Lecture course will be given Friday evening January 13, by Miss Marie Montford, a reader. Quite a number from here attended a concert at Sistersville Tuesday evening given by the Tyrolean Alpine Singers. Miss Lizzie Frey left Saturday morning for her home in Elwood City, Pa., after a few days visit here with relatives. Jim Williamson left Monday for his home in Wheeling from a ten days visit here and at Sistersville. Miss Lucile Griffith returned home Tuesday morning from Wheeling where she spent the holidays. Miss Ella Thompson has resigned her position at Edwin Fisher's store in Sistersville. Clyde and George Goddard of Woodsfield spent Sunday here with friends and relatives. Miss Flora Frey returned home Monday from a two months visit at Elwood City, Pa. Miss Nellie Martin and nephew Harold were shopping in Sistersville Saturday. Miss Mae Thistle of Sistersville spend Sunday with Miss Ethel Thompson. A. C. Vetter was a business caller in New Martinsville Thursday. Lewis Troush moved his family to Martins Ferry last week. E.C. Frey was a business caller in Wheeling Friday. E. J. Martin spent Sunday at his home at this place.
