    3. I am new to your list--very new, but I'm jumping to identify the families of interest to me. All of these families connect to Luther Chaffee of (Wyandot & Miami) through his daughter, my gggrandmother, Harriet Matilda/Mary Chaffee b 4 Aug 1813. Luther CHAFFEE went from CT (or PA) to Wyandot Co., then in 1850 to Miami County. His wife was Rebecca PERKINS or PARKER. They had 12 ch b between 1809-1834. Luther & Rebecca's dau Harriet m Harley Parker Cutting in Crawford County on 1 Jan 1837. When Harriet d on 13 Apr 1850, her husband, Harley, placed their 3 little girls with three different families: 1. Levi JAY & his wife Phebe Patty took my ggrandmother, Zerelda Maria Cutting. Phebe was the d/o Charles Patty and his 2nd wife Phebe Pearson. Charles Patty's 1st wife was Mary Ann Jay, a likely aunt to Levi. Levi & his family went to Rice County, KS, where Levi died. 2. A family named PEARSON took Mary Ida Cutting. There is a connection betweent the Pearson family and a family named Acton. Mary Ida m Joseph Perry Acton who was a relative of Mrs. Pearson's. 3. One of Luther Chaffee's brothers, William Morgan Chaffee and his wife Mary Eliza Smith, were foster parents of the third daughter, Harriet Matilda Cutting. I am hoping you can help me find more info abt these three foster families. There is no record in Wyandot's Probate Court for guardianships, but I have not yet checked Miami's records as this Miami connection surfaced only this week. It's too long a story, but thanks for listening. Regards, Ellen Knowles Bisson
