I am a novice genealogist who is seeking information on my grandfather, Homer Leslie YOUNG. I have very little go to on, but will give you what I have. He was born 19-October-1904. My mother said he was born in Woodsfield, OH. She did not remember his parents' names but said that his mother had a French-sounding name and was an orphan. He had several brothers and sisters, of which I only know names: Brownie, Alice, Ruby (who married Ward CHANEY and settled in Nellie, OH), Edna (who married Wayne TENANT and settled in Gaylord, MI), Winona, and I believe Ina Mae. There was a family story of another child who was tossed out an upstairs window by a babysitter and killed. I don't know the accuracy of that. The family migrated to Coshocton County at some point (West Carlisle, Broomstick), and later to Newark, OH, where my grandfather married Fairy Jane STONER in 1927. They had one daughter, Barbara Maxine, who was my mother. I would greatly appreciate any information you have and, though I doubt I have any information of value, am more than willing to help anyone out. Thank you!
