Hello Cousins, I have a special request. The Monroe County Death Certificate for my ancestor who died in 1922 has "American" in the space which is labeled Color or Race. Since I am not familiar with whose responsibility it is to fill in the certificate, I will mention that the Registrar was George E Rose and the doctor was C. A Smith. What does anyone think of this? Was it a common answer? I thought there might be other Listers who would take a quick look at certificates they hold for the same time frame, or signed by the same men. Thanks.
