I got mine from the Washington County Library in Marietta, Oh. I have census starting with 1830 that puts the Joy family in Monroe County, Oh. All of the children were born in Monroe County. I also use the following site: http://www.familysearch.org/ My only problem is the use of William Levi and Levi. Levi was the son of Matthew Joy and Nancy Smoot. According to the 1850 census which lists Levi's ae at 44, he would have been born in 1806. Several of the family have tried to distinguish between whether William Levi and Levi are the same person. I am going down to Monroe and Washington Counties in Ohio the first of the year. I hope through some major research we can find some answers. I would like to track down family members to see what they can do to shed some light on the families. It is listed there is a William Joy b. 1803 in PA that married Nancy Ellen Cline abt 1832 Their children were all born in Washington County. They are: Phillip 1833, George 1834, Matthew 1836, Eliel 1838, Mordicia Bishop 1840, David 1842, Sarah Jane 1844, Charles W. 1849, John W.(William) 1852, Isac 1854, Nancy Ellen Feb 1847. d. 21 May Boulder, Co.
