Spirit of Democracy June 20, 1895 Sardis Mr. and Mrs. Henry Stoehr, who have been at Wheeling for a couple of weeks, returned home Monday. Mr. Henry Stoehr and Frank Schaffer were at New Martinsville Saturday on business. Mr. Clarence Paden and Bert Humphrey were happy guests at Proctor Sunday. Miss Stella Cunningham and Erna Deiter were at Matamoras Thursday. Several of our young men attended the festival at Wittens Thursday evening. Prof. R. K. Walton was here Saturday evening, the guest of a friend. Miss Vada Boice was the guest of her aunt, Bertha Dally, over Sunday. Mr. Otto Eliott is here to stay with Charley Dally during the summer. Mr. Thomas Hubbert was at Hannibal Thursday evening. Mr. W.E. Mallory of Woodsfield was her Monday. Mr. Bert Hofer of Hannibal was in town Sunday. Mr. John Dally is staying with Harvey Bowen.
