    3. Someone of the list ask me if Malaga appeared in the paper--this just happened to be on the same page as Sardis. June 15, 1899 Spirit of Democracy Malaga (Received too late for last week.) Mrs. Lena Musgrave of Baden, Pa., came home Saturday on account of the serious illness of her father James Armstrong. Mrs. Maria Barnes was the quest of her daughter Mrs. S.H. Archer of Woodsfield last week. Mr. and Mrs. Simon Howel of Somerton were the guests of Mrs. Mary L. Johnstone Sunday. Miss Clara Kellar and Bertha Egger sent a few days with Miss Ida Kellar of this place. J.O. Starkey, spent a few days with his sister Mrs. H.R. McLain of this place. Mrs. Jane Hardesty, of Miltonsburgh visited Malaga friends the past week. Mr. and Mrs. J.B. Matchett are visiting their children at Cleveland. Mr. Charles Kotzebue of New Martinsville was at this place last eek. Mrs. W. C. Tacker is visiting her son at Martins Ferry this week. Mrs. Oblinger of Quaker City was here one day last week.
