There has been considerable rise in the river, and all the steamers have resumed their regular routes. Miss Colvin, a respected lady, died Sunday morning. She had been an invalid for many years. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Engerman of Pittsburg are he guests of Mrs. Mickel and other friends. C. Keener of Martinsville was the guests of friends here Sunday evening. Elmer Dowe and friend of Martinsville were visiting here Sunday. Charles Christy was the guests of his parents last week.
