Your information on Jessie is what I have with the exception of the order of his wives. Susan King was his first wife, Sarah McVey his second, and Sarah Bevis this third. This information comes from Jessie's pension records. Susan is said to be buried in Southerland Methodist Church Cemetery, Franklin Twp Ohio. Jessie has four children by his first marriage: John, Mary Jane, Nancy, and Lewis. He has Jacob and James by the second marriage (to Sarah McVey) and Alice, William, Catherine, Salina and Maggie by this third. I come from the first marriage, through son Lewis. Jessie and sons John and Lewis all serve in the Civil war. Both Jessie and Lewis are pensioned and the pensions are quite large and filled with information. I find it interesting that Jessie's brother John also marries a King. Perhaps they are sisters? Although not adequately proven, it appears that Susan King's father is Meshack King. I was wondering what proof exists that Jesse is in fact William and Mary Catherine Winland/Windlands son? Thanks in advance for your assitance.
