What makes it harder for me on my line is William Sturgeon, Vincent's brother, puts his wife and children on a raft in 1840, floats downriver to what becomes Mason County, WV. His mother dies in 1849, brother in 1859 and he only has contact with sister Elizabeth Sturgeon McDowell one time before he dies in 1899. Needless to say, doesn't leave much to go on. Thanks again.
