Hello and Thank you very much for your reply. My Baker line is Capt John Baker who married Elizabeth Sullivan Martin Baker who married Sarah Winland Benjamin Martin Baker who married Sarah Winland (a cousin,LOL NOT HIS MOTHER) Louisa Baker who married Robison Strickling My grandmother was from this Stricklig line. My Yoho connection is through my Grandmother Strickling line as well Johannes Yoho m Susan Lau Jacob Yoho m Margaret Dailey Ellen/Elinor Yoho m John Watson Yoho Watson m Mary Ann Sellers/Zellers Here is a link to my Worldconnect Tree http://wc.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=SHOW&db=meentzenbowles&surname=Watson%2C+Yoho I would like to photograph some Yoho headstones from this line. If you know off the top of your head where any might be, that would be great. I understand there is somewhere around there a "general store" owned by the Whitacres. Do you know of that.? I am making a big point of this trip to see the Tucker Methodist Church on Old Rt 22 in Wash Co PA. mY 5THGGrandfather , John Tucker donated the land for the church. Have you ever seen it? A nice lady sent me a photo of it and I cant wait to see it.I have the picture here: http://blog.360.yahoo.com/blog-3aZNZP48fqM3elMBsqiyi2PxqPXTUe2OLf7ABjw-?cq=1&p=202 Finally, (and by this point you are probably thinking what have I gotten myself into,) I am wondering where to go to find good W.VA cookin. I really enjoy little home town restaraunts and I have found some wonderful ones in my travels....however I have also seen a couple which sent me heading for the hills. Any good pointers in that direction appreciated as well. Thank you for any info you care to share. Would like to hear how your line connects to mine. Randi "Charles A. Randi, My Baker line has the same start as yours. It goes as follows: Capt John to his son Joseph, then to John Baker (1814) then to Daniel Baker &Sarah Helms, then Daniel Curtis Baker the third husband of my gg grandmother Barbara Jane Fryman. Johannes Yoho is buried in the Yoho cemetery that lies close to WV route 2 in Graysville WV. I think other Yoho's are buried there also. I have been told that some grave stones are still readable. Hi, I'm a descendant of Benjamin Martin Barker and Sarah Winland through their daughter, Elizabeth Baker b. 7 Jan 1832 and Harvey Hendershot. I'm confused on Benjamin Baker and his wives. He married Sarah Winland in 1824 and had children, Louisa, Margaret, Jacob (1831) and Elizabeth in 1833. Next, he married Katherine Farnsworth in 1844. But according to your website and others, Sarah (Winland) Baker didn't die until 1855, ten years after her husband married Katherine Farnsworth. Did Sarah and Benjamin Baker divorce? Also, who is the mother of these children of Benjamin Baker: Lucy Ann Baker b. 11 Sept. 1836, Sarah Catherine 9 Oct 1840, Dicinda P. b. 8 June 1843 and Cythina A. Baker b. 8 Dec 1845.???? Or is some of these children from a previous marriage of Catherine Farnsworth? Any theories? If you know off the top of your head where any might be, that would be great. I understand there is somewhere around there a "general store" owned by the Whitacres.
