I'm interested in your John Bumgardner. We have 2 in our direct lines. The earlier John in our line was John M Bumgarder (1818-1887) married to Annie Scott. The later John, was his son, John Wesley Bumgardner (1862-abt 1950) married to Massie Dailey. I have another John Franklin Bumgardner as the son of Marion A Bumgardner and Rebecka Eastwood (or Easton) and another John William Bumgardner, son of James Madison Bumgardner & Margaret Bonar. All of the above Johns are incorporated in the same family - where John M Bumgardner is the brother to Marion A and the other 3 Johns are of their get. I have the parents of John M and Marion Bumgardner as Nicholas Bumgardner and Sarah Fortner who were married in Belmont Co in 1810 but have not been able to trace back further than them. EAST LIVERPOOL - Chester L. Cline, 81, of Berkshire Road, died at 11:32 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2007, at City Hospital, after a lengthy illness. Born June 6, 1926, in Monroe County, Ohio, a son of the late Henry and Mae Cline, he spent most of his life in this area. An employee in the shipping department of the former Crucible Steel Co., he retired in 1982. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he served as a Military Policeman in the Philippines. He was a member of the First Free Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death July 21, 2007, by his wife, Audrey Lucille Cline, whom he married May 21, 1949. Survivors include a daughter, Cheryl Varsho, and her husband Jon of Lisbon; and a son, Lanny Cline, and his wife Margie of Calcutta. There are three grandchildren: Andrew Varsho, Matthew Cline and Timothy Varsho. He is also survived by a sister, Lucille Neff, of New Martinsville, W.Va. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Lawrence Cline and Glenn Cline. The Rev. Steve Forsythe will conduct services at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Dawson Funeral Home, where friends may call Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Burial is to be in Calcutta United Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Susannah Hall married Benjamin Joy. They are buried in the Church of Christ cemetery in Graysville, OH. There are Halls buried in the Pioneer cemetery in Graysville. I have been there and saw their graves and took pictures of some of them. Susannah was born 22 Apr 1811 in VA. Benjamun is listed as being born 1803 in Maryland. Have no proof of that. Susannah died 29 Apr 1890. She is the daughter of Jesse Hall Sr. b. 12 Feb 1782 in Shenandoah, VA M. 04 Apr 1806 to Mary (Polly) Walthers b. 1787. Jesse had the other following children: Issac Hall, Sr. b. 12 Feb 1807, Elizabeth b. abt 1811; Jesse Hall Jr. b. 20 Dec 1814; Jonathan b. abt 1815; George , b. 1815; Enoch b. 1820; Margaret b. 1822. I have a 34 page booklet of Hall's from Thomas Hall, Sr b. abt 1672 m. unknown Brave in Chester County, Pa to Elmer E. Parris. The booklet has a lot of additional info about the Hall family Anyone interested in info can contact me at dsage@weir.net. This information was sent to me from another Hall family member. I don't know if any of our line were in that particular area of OH, but some of the same early Van Buskirks were all over Ohio. For instance, some of the brothers of our GG Grandfather moved to middle or northern Ohio.
