I've been researching Belmont Co for quite some time, but I've never yet gone after a will. I found an index that had 5 of our kin on it, but have no idea how to go about getting a copy of those wills. Can anyone tell me who I need to call or where I need to go? Nancy

Hi, Out of the blue I thought I would ask. Is anyone on this list a HUFFMAN HOFFMAN Descendant from Henry Huffman m to Catrouch Fry who lived in Greene Co PA. I know some of his children went to Monroe Co to live and also some cousins ? went. Rudolph Huffman it appears is going to be related to this line in time it seems. I'm seeking any information about Adam Sherman and Massie Dailey and their children. They married 07 Mar 1872 in Monroe Co., OH. Massie was born about 1856 and has been listed in census data as Bathie, Massie and Martha. Her family moved around a bit but were mostly within the northwest townships of Monroe Co - Seneca, Summit and Center twps. I have no information on Adam Sherman other than the marriage date and the fact that he apparently died (or left the area) between 1882 & 1885. Massie went on to marry John Wesley Bumgardner in Belmont Co in 1885. It is rumored that she was Indian - although listed as daughter of Robert Dailey & Hanna Hasman/Harshman since she was about 4 years old - and had 6 or 7 children with Adam Sherman before her marriage to Bumgardner in 1885 and went on to have 5 daughters with John. Reportedly, the children with Adam Sherman were Elizabeth, Mary Ann, Chris, William and George. I have been able to confirm Mary (b abt 1882 in Belmont Co) & George (b 1880 in Stafford, Franklin Twp), but have nothing but rumor as to the rest of them. I'd like any information about these other children and about Adam, himself - his family, his occupation, when & where he died and is buried, when & where born, etc. or any verification or debunkle of Massie being Indian.
