    3. And thank YOU, Betty. Yes, I do think the 1870 finding is our Martha and I don't have a middle name for her, so it could have been Mary Martha. Martha herself wasn't German - born in Ohio, but you're right, so many people, not just Germans, used their middle name. I believe you've found my John/Elizabeth marriage. As for Sarah White death record - not sure what to think. My original source for Sarah, a grandson to Martha's brother, shows her as dying before 1870 - although, he could be wrong or I misinterpreted his data. I will keep this note. I do have that death record CD and missed it entirely. And no, I did not know that Sarah and Anna were twins. I don't have any Birth record CDs - but think I'd better get some! Poor Martha - she seems to just have disappeared into thin air. I thank you much for your time & effort in finding these records for me. So I'll say my thank yous here, hoping to get the message to the correct person. Hi. Wow - how can I thank you? Some of this information I had, but a lot of it, I don't. Are you some relation to these people are just a terrific Good Samaritan? I do have access to Ancestry.com - did you find all of this there? Again, thank you so much! Nancy Albritton

    1. [OHMONROE] Looking for death, burial of Martha Buskirk White (or Wise)
    2. Nancy Albritton
    3. Martha, daughter of Oliphant Buskirk and Sarah Harrison, born 27 Nov 1846 in Monroe Co, married 16 Aug 1866 is last seen in the 1880 Census. She had at least 5 children - Sarah (no birth date), Albert E (b. 7 Apr 1869 - wife Sarah), Mary Josephine (b. abt 1871), William Jacob (b. 16 Feb 1874 - wife Alma D) and Anna (b. abt 1878). There's much confustion as to whether husband, John's last name was White or Wise - seeing him listed mostly as John White, but the sons listed both ways - both listed as Wise on their death certificate. It appears that John remarried about 1896, as he's shown with an Elizabeth and they're listed as having been married for 4 years (him being listed as in his 60's, her considerably younger). I've not been able to locate any indication when Martha died or where she might be buried. Since they lived near Clarington, I would expect to find her there, but never located a headstone (if there is one) and can't find her on any listing that I've found. Are there cemetery listings for Monroe County? I have the 2 CDs which show the Monroe Co. Death Records and unless her name's been grossly mispelled, she doesn't seem to be on them. Any ideas where to look next? Nancy
