Hi Elline, Let me tell you I, too, have been blown out of the water a few times with private messages that were quite cruel-and I hope you know that most of the people on this list are very loving and compassionate people. I believe Sandy is totally out of line and I LOVE!! clowns. My daughter, Renee, was with Classic Clowns in S. Calif. She was Trixie, a marionette, and her friend "Tall Paul" (a guy over 6'10") was the puppet master, and sometimes during parades, Trixie would slip her strings-and do her own thing. Renee died just a little over 4 yrs ago from Cystic Fibrosis, but her joy of "clowning" will always live in my heart and my memories. In the meantime, back to the research! Sincerely, J.L.
Dear J.L., What a wonderful thing to do for a stranger, sending such a wealth of McNiece information. Included was William McNiece's exact date of death, which I didn't have, his sister Eliza's marriage date and first husband's given name, and information on the Thomas McNiece of Belmont County who could be William's uncle. The origins of various McNieces in Co. Tyrone, Ireland, is also a precious clue, as nobody in my family had any idea where they might have come from. I've seen your many exhaustive lookups for others and would like to thank you for all you do for us without even being asked. And all we know about you is your very apt email handle and your initials! I hope you won't mind if I impose on you again after I've digested all this information. The McNieces of Graysville seem to have been an odd and dysfunctional family, according to my grandmother's tales, and there are many mysteries surrounding them which I'd like to explore. Thanks and best wishes, Betsy
