To Joan Bivens, Looking for MERCKLE? Spelling may show up as MIRACLE. That is what I found out anyway. I found a Lawrence EDDY m. to Jemima MIRACLE/MERCKLE/MERICAL in Monroe Co., OH sometime in the 1860's. I guess it depended on how the census taker decided to write it. Hope this might help.
