I can't remember is I have yet posted this question (too many posts lately while hunting for info!) Forgive me if this is a duplicate. I still haven't found the answer quite yet! I've had some great advise though and will follow though. I just recieved the marriage cert of my ggrandfather (finally). I was hoping to find out his place, date of birth & parents names but none was there - except the county of birth as Monroe. All info is listed below. Is it possible to find a birth record (or additional info on him) with this limited information? > > > >My ggrandfather was married in Marshall County. Bonnie, You are so right about her work. It is great, but she has changed her mind on people in later volumes and I know for a fact that there are some mistakes. She has me widowed gggrandmother a man! But she is a great source to start from if she has your family. Lynn
Thanks to those of you who sent information on how to find Mt. Sinai Cemetery. I bet I'll have better luck on my next trip. MaryNell
I was wondering if anyone had access to CD for Passenger and Immigration Lists: Germans to America. I found an index for August Wittekind and I am trying to find out the name of the ship my great-great grandfather came over on. They arrived sometime between April and July of 1852. There should be more than just his name on the ship records as my 3rd great grandfather, grandmother and brothers and sisters of August also came over at the same time. I would appreciate any help. Thanks in advance Regina Wittekind Potaracke RPotaracke@aol.com
