Researchers: I am seeking William Dillon born about 1822/23 in Ohio. Married Elizabeth Highly before 1844. Three sons: Abraham 1844, Henry 1846 and John 1847 all three born in OH. I have checked all the six sons of Thomas/Peter Dillon of PA. None of the six sons had a son named William that would match my William with a wife named Elizabeth. So this is the wrong branch. Any other suggestions for search of other Dillon branch would sure be welcome! Thanks for help. Perry Adams

Hi Harley, I'm confused. Linda Kay Anderson's Cline genealogy has Sarah Williamson as John Cline's second wife, married in 1830 when John was 58. No children are shown for this marriage. John's first wife, Mary Brown, died in 1825; all 10 children are attributed to her, and none are named Adaline. Is this wrong? Hey Mike, Sorry to always lean on you in my time of need, but I need a hand with my Monroe County Mellott's. There are two Peter Mellott's that were born around 1818 that are dead ends for me. One is the s/o Peter Mellott and Ester Pittman and the other is the s/o Jacob Mellott and Abigail Truax. I do not have anything else on either of the Peter's. There is a Peter Mellott, age 32, living in Adams Twp in 1850 with a probable spouse, Catharine, and children, Thomas, 8, Huma, 2, and Luther, 1 month. If you have anything on either of these individuals, I could sure use the info. Thanks in advance. My step father, John Theodore BEAVER, passed away Monday morning, Feb. 28, 2000. Since retiring a few years ago he spent most of his time doing genealogical research. He was working on the BEAVER, DUNLAP, WILLIAMSON, CLINE, STEED, SHUMAN, LEE, BREWER, VIRDEN, and other lines. He had received a package of genealogy from a fellow in Oklahoma just the other day and Fran Weekly stopped by yesterday afternoon with some genealogy for him. I will be spending a good bit more time working on his lines along with my own, as I am retiring on May 1st. I would appreciate hearing from any of you who may have known or worked with him on research. I will have or have access to most of his records. My lines are GRAMMER, CIZEWESKI, CHRISTMYER, ROTH of Belmont Co, Ohio and Ohio Co, WV as well as HUGHES, ROSEBERRY, KNAPPENBERGER, GOSSETT, STEWART, HAWKINS and KNOPP of Mason & Jackson Co, WV. Thank you for the responses to 1870 Kasserman. I now have indexes. Thanks. Karen
Hello Kasserman researchers, I am trying to locate information about Will M. Kasserman born 1869 married Louise M. Moser. At some point they moved to Canton, Ohio. Does any one have info on this Kasserman? Louise was baptized Marie Louise Moser, daughter of Christian Moser & Anna Bruny Aug 1873. They married in 1898. I did not find them in 1900 Ohio Township, Monroe County. I did not find him in 1870 census in Ohio Township. If anyone has an index to 1870 census, I would appreciate Kasserman index listings. In 1870, I found Ohio Twp; 34-29 Kasserman, Stephen 305-312 Kasserman, John _____ Kasserman, Friedrich Thanks for any help. Karen
Yes I am looking for Phebe Starkey, born 1810 in PA, who married Robinson Lappin in Belmont Co., OH in 1828. Maybe she was born in Virginia as perhaps it was in that part of PA that kept changing who owned it. I have no idea who her parents were. Thought I had pretty much ruled out George Starkey. Any help on the Starkey family would be greatly appreciated. I am down to collecting everything on any Starkey in southern Belmont and Northern Monroe Co., in the 1820-1850 era trying to find a missing slot. I have almost every book printed about Belmont and Monroe Co., Ohio so if you have some other questions, let me know. Also have census for Noble and Washington and Tuscarawas Co., OH. Willing to trade lookup information or anything for a break. Thanks.
