    3. Greetings... The "gateway" has been turned on from the GenConnect boards which forwards posts from the Boards to this list. There may be some duplicates, since queries are not always posted to both places, but sometimes are. We trust that this will be a useful tool for researchers. Interested in hearing from any Wells family members. Great-grandpa dropped the name Eli, and went by William Wells. He settled in Cabell/Wayne area in WV. Do not know his parents, or siblings. My great great grandmother, Deborah Boyd, was born to Samuel Boyd and Elizabeth McGrew. Samuel was born in 1802. His father's name was Henry Boyd. I don't have any siblings listed for Samuel, but have not devoted alot of time to research on this line yet. The Boyds were devout Presbyterians, Samuel's first son was named William who became a Presbyterian minister. There may be some connection. Do you know where your William was born?

    3. This was posted on another list today and I thought it was such a great site (and new to me) I'm posting it for most of my mailing lists. So much of the time I go back and forth from county site to county site for these addresses. This site gives you access to every state's courthouse addresses. Just click on any state and up pop all of the addresses in alpha order, with telephone numbers and some of the statewide offices as well (for VRs, etc.). Click on the "All about county and town resources" and you'll find lots of helpful hints, too. Regards and my apologies if you receive this more than once. 2. Randall S. Bott
    3. A couple of days ago my aunt gave me a box of photographs that are of our family. She only knew the names of a few of the people. All seem to be related to my GGrandfather Jacob BOTT and wife Christina STEIDINGER. They are mostly from the 1800's with many tintypes. Plus there are many bibles in German with inscriptions with dates like 1847 and 1885. Jacob and Christina lived in Woodsfield and many of the photos shot the photographer as being from either Woodsfield or Bellaire. Can anyone give me any suggestions on how to find out who the people are in the photos. I plan on putting them up on a website soon. What do you think? Randall Bott
