I am looking to connect my William DILLON with his proper parents and ancestors. William DILLON was born in 1822 in Ohio. County not known. We do know that in 1850 he was living with his wife Elizabeth (?) and their three sons Abraham, Henry and John in Monroe County, Green Township, Ohio. About 1853 he moved his family to Decatur County, IA where they remained for many years. William probably died about 1875 as around that time his wife Elizabeth transferred some land to son Abraham. Does anyone have information on this DILLON family? Thank you for your help. Perry Adams San Carlos, California

Note the spelling. with Martha, James and Archibald. I thought this may be my family as I dont tie into BONHAM. Now you write the name as BOhnam--a little differently. It is a census problem. Also Monroe was often called the "Switzerland of Ohio" because it was settled by Swiz immigrants which came down a flatboat from PA. I have seen my line as BOWham. I'm looking for Peter Boham b. 1788 in Maryland. Just trying other spellings. Thanks. Hope this clears it up.
