It seemed odd to me that they were the only set of twins around, but I have seen stranger things happen. I was aware of the previous marriage but obviously did not know Nancy was Sarah and Asa's daughter. I know that Nancy marries a Starkey, but I have not been able to establish a first name on her husband. By chance, do you know? Thanks again for providing me with that correction, I'll have to send for a copy. Sue
Greetings to my BRITNELL cousins in Ohio. I am conducting a census for BRITNELL hopefully to be complete by March of 2005. During my research in the past fifteen years I have discovered that there are about 4000 of us using the name w/w. This name appears to be going into decline. To avert the total loss of the name, somewhere down the line of time, I am hoping that we can come up with a solution to avoid this. We need your participation. The BRITNELL name has an interesting history and it would be a terrible shame to lose it. I don't much like being an endangered species. For those BRITNELLs who did not receive a census package in the mail please email me here-->[email protected] OR: write to me at 35 Deerpoint Road, SE, Calgary, Alberta, Canada, T2J 6R3 I hope to have the census complete by March of 2005. Mary Anne Britnell
The one at the church is on a side street accross from the school. There is also the Beallsville Cemetery next to the school and accross the street from that cemetery is another old cemetery that my Dad always called the old Beallsville Cemetery. I am not sure of the exact name. ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, January 30, 2005 10:47 PM Subject: [OHMonroe] Re: Beallsville Cemeteries > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Classification: Query > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/SWB.2ACE/1091.1 > > Message Board Post: > > Go to this website, I think it is the one. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/SWB.2ACE/725.3.1.1.1 Message Board Post: Sue, Nancy was not the daughter of Jesse and his first wife. She was the daughter of Sarah McVey and her first husband, Asa Forshey. In the Court of Common Pleas, Monroe Co., case: Jacob McVey, administrator of Asa Forshey vs Sarah Wheeler & Jesse Wheeler her husband & Nancy Forshey. Case entry for April term 1846, C-p.401 shows Sarah had been married to Asa before her marriage to Jesse and that Nancy was Asa's only child. 1840 Monroe census showed two children 0-4 in Jesse Wheeler's household. There was 1 female 0-4 in Asa Forshey's hh. Jesse's 1850 hh shows 3 children who would have been 0-4 in 1840. That John and Nancy were marked as "twins" was a presumption of the census taker. In 1860 Nancy Forshey was enumerated in the household of her maternal grandparents, Samuel and Jane McVey, in Wayne Twp. Ella

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/SWB.2ACE/725.3.1.1 Message Board Post: Jessie Wheeler is my 3rd Great Grandfather. Your information on Jessie is what I have with the exception of the order of his wives. Susan King was his first wife, Sarah McVey his second, and Sarah Bevis this third. This information comes from Jessie's pension records. Susan is said to be buried in Southerland Methodist Church Cemetery, Franklin Twp Ohio. Jessie has four children by his first marriage: John, Mary Jane, Nancy, and Lewis. He has Jacob and James by the second marriage (to Sarah McVey) and Alice, William, Catherine, Salina and Maggie by this third. I come from the first marriage, through son Lewis. Jessie and sons John and Lewis all serve in the Civil war. Both Jessie and Lewis are pensioned and the pensions are quite large and filled with information. I find it interesting that Jessie's brother John also marries a King. Perhaps they are sisters? Although not adequately proven, it appears that Susan King's father is Meshack King. I was wondering what proof exists that Jesse is in fact William and Mary Catherine Winland/Windlands son? Thanks in advance for your assitance. If you have any other questions about my information, please don't hesitate to ask.

I am looking for information on the family of Heinrich Myers who married Barbara Eisenbarth 28 Apr 1877. They were married in the New Zion Church.
The 1880 Census at Baresville (Hannibal) list Christian Mender age 12 as living with Casper Eisenbarth. I suspect this is Christian Bendel who is likely Casper's grandchild. I also suspect he may be also the grandson of Christopher Bendel born 1822 and buried at the Mount Zion Church near Hannibal. Christopher had a son Jacob b. ca 1862 Does anyone have any information on the Bendel family.
