Suggestion: Are you using a "Partial" search? Using the exact or close limits your responses. I've had much more success using the partial. There is a pull down on that field, pull down and select partial. Also some of the transcribers misinterpret spelling..so use your imagination. Reading the handwriting on these originals isn't easy....I have found Booher under Boohen, Boaher, Boohar, Beoher and Buer. And many others. Some can really be a stretch. I have collected the missing information on hundreds of people from this site. Particularly Ohio Death Certificates. Adding the names of parents and Cemeteries to those that I didn't have. Also, withholding the date adds to your responses. Amazing how often the census year of birth is of by a year..almost everytime. Easily explained by the month of visit.
