I don't see where they are charging us for putting our info on there or how they are making any money off of our trees. The cost to have employees to gather records and those with the computer knowledge to get those records online and organized online for us to search and all the other things they need to operate must be enormous. I, for one, do not have the time or money it would take to travel everywhere I need to research my ancestors. It would take me years to find everything I've been able to find in a few hours or days or weeks on there. Their every name indexes, which are not perfect but still the best available anywhere, alone are worth the price of the subscription. I do think we all need to put this topic to bed now and get back to Miami County research. My main Miami County surnames are Carter, Dobbins, Steen, and Beason.
