    3. Hi Debbie, That's really too bad. Obviously they didn't foresee that people often change their email addresses. :-) For the benefit of all of you who may be worried, I just signed into my gedcom at RootsWeb WorldConnect with my user code and password without any problems. I did not need to use my email address. I signed in two ways, both with the older upload specifications and the newer version and was able to access everything including downloading a copy of my gedcom to my hard drive (I need to do some updating!), without any problems. Also, I found that in the registration area of RootsWeb, you can add other email addresses that you have used with them and have everything linked - if you want to. It is unfortunate what happened to Debbie but I still urge all of you to upload at WorldConnect - I cannot tell you the number of people who have found me there. Between having your gedcom at RootsWeb and also that they include it at Ancestry, the exposure you get is VAST. This OF COURSE does not mean that you can't submit your gedcom somewhere else or make use of the Tribal pages that Debbie was telling us about. You can do that in addition to uploading your gedcom to WorldConnect and INCREASE your chances of having someone find you. Just ALWAYS remember to keep your email addresses current anywhere you submit your information and keep your usernames and passwords in a safe place! Your username and password were linked to your e-mail address and you had to have all three match. I still have the username and password. They don't work and rootsweb told me that they won't work without that e-mail address being active.
