    3. Hello Jeanne; or anyone else there; I have a Grt Aunt and Genevieve ROOKS was maybe in Troy or another town and she never married. She d. in 1960's in Columbia and was bur.in Van Wert Co with her family members., 1, a brotyher, Jacob Rooks who were school teacher's in Miami Co. Oh in late 1800's and on to abt 1950. Jacob in early or so 1900's went to Columbia area and taught school. Does anyone you know abioutn either of them for a teacher??? Also does anyone have any old school picture with either of them in it, that could scan it and send me a copy.??? Next time you go to the library could you look up about teachers in schools etc. if there is anything ref. to either of them and send me copies. I would be happy to send money for this.     3. Hi Maxine, I am Sorry I can't help you. I live in Wisconsin at this time and only go home to Ohio in the spring and summer. All of the research I do at the present time is online and in correspondance. I hope you get a more positive reply from someone back home. Sorry.     3. Maxine I had a Miss Rooks in the 8th grade at Kyle School in Troy Ohio. I don't know what her first name was because we used Miss Rooks. She used two canes to walk with and believe me she knew how to use them. I had her about 1948. We had to go into our rooms on the fire escapes. I remember on boy that got a Mohawk haircut one day when he came to school the next day she meant him at the top of the fire escape and sent him home. He showed up the next day with his head shaved. She was a good teacher.
