    3. I, as assistant archivist at the Local History Library in Troy, Miami County, Ohio, would like to offer our location at 100 W. Main St., as a site that would be interested in collections of family histories. People come from all over the US to visit with our library. I know it is because they have used our website ( www.tdn-net.com/genealogy ) to find information that brings them here. We have been contacted and visited by people around the world for help in searching their family tree. We are a branch location of the Troy-Miami County Public Library and work in cooperation with the Troy Historical Society to house a collection of family and county information. If you would like more details please contact me. Thanks Barbara Besecker Asst. Archivist, Local History Library Webmaster www.tdn-net.com/genealogy Administrator OHMIAMI, WACKLER, BESECKER, LACHAT, ELSMAN, DEMOSS

    3. I haven't been up to the Library for tooo long, but I can certainly tell people that it is an excellent resource! Not only is there a wonderful bunch of information, but a wonderful bunch of friendly, helpful people. I don't know if there are researchers for folks from out of state or town, but if you are where you have access to Troy (N. of Dayton at I-75) it would be a grand place to look into. Since I just live in Tipp City, I really ought to go much more often! 3. Janet, The collection that was at the Hayner Cultural Center for many years is now located at 100 W. Main St. in Troy. We have been there about 4 years and we have so much more room. We are very proud of our facility which has been provided to us by the Troy-Miami County Public Library. It is actually across the street from the Miami County Courthouse. The Troy Historical Society continues to volunteer their services as they have since inception of the history and genealogy library. We grew out of the space at the Hayner. The Hayner continues to provide culture for the area. Our hours are: Monday & Wednesday 10-8 Tuesday, Thursday & Friday 10-4 Saturday 9 - 1 By going to the website you can see a lot of what we have available http://tdn-net.com/genealogy/troy/troy-lib.htm We have 2 microfilm readers that print. We have 2 computers that the patrons can use. Ancestry is available for patrons. We have a room especially for the family histories that have been donated over the years. We now have the layouts of the cemeteries in Miami County. So if you know the section and lot # you can see it on the maps. I encourage all to come visit us. Thanks Barbara Besecker Asst.
