I don't know if you know about it or may have one, but John Carpenter from Piqua just last year had a updated book printed on the Booher family. He was selling them at his cost. I have done a great deal of research on this family including several trips to Pennsylvania. There are two generations in the list below that do not match my research. I believe that Fayette County PA baptism records of the Gute Hoffnung Kirche (Good Hope Lutheran and Reformed Church) which show the Oct. 5, 1788 baptism of Johannes Booher/Bucher, born Sept. 21, 1788, son of Peter and Catharina, and the 1807 Fayette Co PA will of Peter Booher, which names his wife Catharina and includes the statement, "a division of the same to be made by my executor after my son John comes to be twenty one years old" clearly document that the Peter Booher who died in Fayette Co in 1807 is the father, not the grandfather, of John Booher who married Elizabeth Miller. This Peter did have a son, Peter Jr. who married Anna Barbara ___, but the father of your John is Peter Sr. I have checked out several claims of the father of this Peter Booher Sr. I have found none with any solid documentation. If anyone has documentation to prove the connection of Baltas Balgas Boogher to this Peter Booher/Bucher, I would really appreciate receiving it. I will email to Pam and Roy as an attachment the part of my compilation of THE ANCESTORS AND DESCENDANTS OF JACOB MARTIN AND SUSANNAH OVERHOLSER on the ANCESTORS OF JACOB MARTIN. His Martin and Booher/Bucher ancestors are very interconnected. The last page is a transcription of Peter Booher's 1807 will.
