Hi, I am also researching Curtner, Clapp and Cox. Alot of these lines are Quakers. It seems the migration pattern is often Pennsylvania to North or South Carolina and then southern Ohio and Indiana. Union township is where alot of my lines end up. The Coxes are Union township Coxes. I believe they are descended from John and Susanna Cox and the children moved onto land they recieved from their father in Van Buren Township in Darke County. The Wrights stopped in Montgomery County for one generation and then came to Union township. These are not to be confused with Orville and Wilbur Wrights families in Miami County, that is a different township. If their Wrights are connected with mine it would have been back in Europe, I believe. My Wrights are descended from Robert Wright of Ireland buried in Providence Cemetary in Brookville. The family cemetary is on the old Wright farm on Wright Rd. just outside of Laura. There is a great site on the Pennys by Becky Barefoot; it is at http://beckfoot.home.att.net. I believe there is Haworth and Waymire info on her site too. I am quite willing to exchange information with any one on these families. Are any of you looking at the Quaker background or migration patterns on these families? Is anyone looking at military records for these families? I know Henry Penny is DAR eligible.
