Thanks Kathy, I know Benjamin was married twice, but did not know about the other marriage of Mary Knife. Don't limit yourself on spelling...Hendricksen, Hendricson, etc. Census takers were notoriously poor at spelling...they spelled what they heard. Recently found a family named Henning, spelled Haining, Heynin(southern accent?). If you match location, given names, names and ages and birthorder of children...You may have found the "right" family, even if the surname is garbled. Found my SINTZ family on the Indiana census spelled Sinks. Fortunately they had twin sons in the middle of the family and that confirmed their ID. You may find it was spelled several different ways, including Hendrix, Hendricks, and Hendrickson, depending on who was doing the writing in county records.
