    3. Pam, Thankyou, for your password. I just started looking at tribal pages. It is awesome. I am not very computer literate. I have been doing genealogy for about one year and I have about 1600 names in my file. I don't know how to import GEDCOM files. I enter everything by hand. I use PAF by family search to organize my information. I want to put my information on line but I am not sure I am ready. I want to make sure my information is as organized and accurate as possible. I am trying to get the local library or Historical society interested in sponsoring some seminars on genealogy so that I could improve my skills. I am currently in Wisconsin but will be back in Darke County to visit this summer. I have pictures of tombstones I took back home but when I tried to put them on FindA Grave, I didn't know how to compress them. I will share my information with you but sometimes I have to mail things. I am very excited to share some of my lines that I have not seen on the websites Tryons, Himes, Wrights, Ecks; because I am sure it will bring more information my way. 3. Hi, I am also researching Curtner, Clapp and Cox. Alot of these lines are Quakers. It seems the migration pattern is often Pennsylvania to North or South Carolina and then southern Ohio and Indiana. Union township is where alot of my lines end up. The Coxes are Union township Coxes. I believe they are descended from John and Susanna Cox and the children moved onto land they recieved from their father in Van Buren Township in Darke County. The Wrights stopped in Montgomery County for one generation and then came to Union township. These are not to be confused with Orville and Wilbur Wrights families in Miami County, that is a different township. If their Wrights are connected with mine it would have been back in Europe, I believe. My Wrights are descended from Robert Wright of Ireland buried in Providence Cemetary in Brookville. The family cemetary is on the old Wright farm on Wright Rd. just outside of Laura. There is a great site on the Pennys by Becky Barefoot; it is at http://beckfoot.home.att.net. I believe there is Haworth and Waymire info on her site too. I am quite willing to exchange information with any one on these families. Are any of you looking at the Quaker background or migration patterns on these families? Is anyone looking at military records for these families? I know Henry Penny is DAR eligible. Thanks, Jeanne --------------------------------- Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Yahoo! Mobile. Try it now.

    3. You should check out a working mill. Bearsmill is still operating on Bears mill Rd off of St Rt 36 in Darke County. From Piqua west on 36 to Arcanun-Bearsmill Rd; turn left. It is down the hill and on the right. They sell flour and bakery products. It is an educational and pleasent trip. They may know more about mills that were in the area. You can read about it online.
