This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Stuart, Moore, Morrell, Sooy, McDonald, Dyer, Daugherty, Hendee Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/HZB.2ACI/825 Message Board Post: I have updated by collection of articles extracted from the Medina County Gazette. There at present 102 pages of articles and a 22 page person index. I originally did it to collect information about relatives, but also began to add articles about events that were occurring in the communities. So the articles would be beneficial to people that are interested in the "old" affairs" of Spencer, Chatham and Homer. If you would like me to send you a MSWord attachment of the articles/index. I could also send just by pasting it into an email, but copy quality is not as good. An example of an article sent in this manner is below. Friday, November 1, 1907, Medina County Gazette, p.7 Homer (Oct. 29) " Week ago last Saturday Mrs. Harvey of Wooster, assisted by Cnrist Markle, had Edward Wilbaugh arrested to make him go with her she desired him to work, and tried to draw his money. Mrs. Harvey is the boy's mother, but as she put him in the children's home at three years of age and paid no further attention to him, the boy thinks she has no claim to him or his wages. He ran away the same day and came back to the place that has been his home for the past four tears, Will Oldman's. Monday the accompanied by Mrs. Oldman went to Wooster and had the matter settled. The mother has no claim to the boy and she and Markle both be arrested for interfering. The boy has always led an upright life and it was thought no fault or crime committed by him that he was under the care of the constable." Researcher: Francis M. Stuart, 2004 For those of you that have received the earlier additions, you may just want to copy the added information and print only that material. I believe the last edition was ended at page 53 or 54. I will be adding more articles as I receive MCG microfilm to copy. Contact me at fstuart@bright.net Mr. Francis M.
