Surnames: STANLEY, SCOTT, HICKOX, PRENTICE, CATLIN, GARRETT Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/HZB.2ACI/930 Message Board Post: In my grandfather's memoirs, he states: “Abigail Stanley, daughter of Joseph Stanley, Sr., was born in August, 1790, in Connecticut; married James Scott in Rochester, N.Y.; they had one child, Louisa. Abigail came with her sister, Joanna Stanley Garrett, to what was then called the far west, Medina, Ohio. Their aged mother went with them, but soon died and lies sleeping in the old cemetery, with no marker, but near St. Paul's Church.” Did St. Paul’s church exist back in the 1830’s?
