We keep hitting dead ends. We suspect that the Bowers that we are related to were indeed mennonite from a picture we have and also because they seemed to be in places that we know mennonite were in. We can not find out where they came from or when the Bowers came to the United States. They were living in Pennsylvania and then Ohio and finally Michigan, about the time of the Civil War. You can email me and I can share more of the Bowers names to see if there is possibly anything that sounds familiar to you in your research. Write when you get a chance.
