The first summer school was taught by Miss Adeline Derthick, and the first winter term by Mr John Bell. Among the pupils were Jacob and James A. Bell, Josiah, William, and James Cwawford, Levi Nye, and Jacob and Amer MOORE, all of whom were respected residents of the vicinity. Could Jacob be your Jacob's father, and Amer his uncle?? The 1820 census shows for Guilford Twp. William MOORE 2 males under 10, 1 male of 16 and under 26, 1 male of 26 and under 45, 1 female under 10, 1 female of 10 and under 16, 1 female of 26 and under 45, and 2 foreigners not naturalized.
