Posted on: Medina Co. Oh Queries Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Oh/Medina/10534 Surname: KELLY, CLEMENT ------------------------- Lyde - There are no Kelley (or similar spelling gavestones at all listed in Westfield Twp, where Leroy is located, and there are only two given in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery - that of a Phyllis Kelley, 1817-1974, and with her is Edwin Kelley, 1900- -- (no other date). You probably already know that there is a Stephen Kelley, Apr. 26, 1852 - 58y, buried in Bennet's Corners Cmty very near to your Lemuel W., Sarah, his wife, and Chlde, his 2nd wife. In fact there is only one man listed between them. Stephen would have been born ca 1793-1794 - a generation older than Lemuel. I'm guessing, but I feel there must be a close relationship between the two - if not father/son, then Uncle/son, or Cousin. Also, on the same page is a listing with no dates indicated, but merely reading Lemue W., (no final "l" in Lemue),and Agnes S. d/o Clements. And on the next page is: CLEMENT, Agness d/o J. & M.A., Aug 19, 1854 ? 10y CLEMENT Mary Ann d/o J., Oct. 20, 1865 -59y10m5d You know, the mere fact that Lemuel writes "father died today" does not necessarily mean that HIS father died today. It could be his father-in-law. Do you know Sarah's maiden name? How about his second wife? Could one of them been a Clement?? There are a lot of Clement headstones in the county, and quite a few in the Bennet's Corners Cmty. By the way, there is one more Kelley couple buried in Bennet's Corners - David I., 1860 - 1908, and Florence V., 1856 - 1916. Were they part of your family? Jean Best
