My recently deceased grandmother was born a FORD, and I'm having a lot of trouble researching her line. Her father, Edsall Post FORD (1888-1970) was born in Oregon and died in California. He married Pauline VAN ORSDEL. His father, Francis (Frank) Alvin FORD (1855/57-1942) was born in Wood County, Ohio and died in Portland, OR. I don't know who his wife was. The Medina County connection is with Frank's father, John Henry FORD (1830-1899), who was born and died in Medina. He was married to Martha Jeannette POST (1830-1877), dauther of Rhoda OSBORN and William POST. This is where I've hit a dead-end. I don't know anything more about the Fords. People in my family say that somewhere along the line they came from Ireland, but I have nothing to substantiate that. I got most of this information from the LDS site http://www.familysearch.org.
