I have responded to Renee Pence directly. For other Boyer researchers, here is some information about Daniel Boyer Daniel Boyer was born Jan 7, 1832 in New Harmony, PA. He married Hannah Gephart and lived in Caly County, Indiania. A couple of years ago I corresponded with another descendant of Daniel Boyer. The line of descent to Daniel is as follows: John Henry Beier married Elizabetha Zerbe (I have two more generations on the Zerbe's). John and Elizabetha were Huengenots who were part of the British Stores Scheme in New York State. Fed up with the British they migrated by barge and on foot to Tulpehocken Creek in Berks County PA. John Henry and Elizabetha Beier had a son George (1734-1806) who married Elizabeth ??? (1739-1806). They were Lutherans. George was a Revolutinary war soldier. George's son John converted to the Mennonite religion and became a minister. When Abraham Ziegler bought the Rapp Settlement in Butler Co., PA Rev. John Boyer bought about 1200 acres. There is an historical marker in Harmony commemorating Rev. John Boyer. John Boyer was married to Susanna Bauer. Rev John (1/10/1762- 6/19/1828) Susanna Bauer (3/2/1767) Married 4/27/1785 Later, Rev. John's son John Boyer and his wife Magdalena Longanecker also moved to Harmony. John and Magdalena had 9 children: Lydia, Sarah. Isaac L. (my gr-gr grandfather) Henry, John. Susannah, Samuel, Daniel (your ancestor) and Jacob. Isaac L., although a Mennonite was a civil war veteran and was wounded at Liberty Gap, a side war of Shiloh. I believe that he might have bee captured as well. Isaac Longanecker Boyer had a son Isaac Rice Boyer who moved to Summit County on the Medina County Border. I presume that he moved there since his uncle was nearby in Medina County. I have more on this line. Through this family you are related to early Dutch settlers (cs 1650's) and can claim a very distant relationship to FDR (7th cousin 4 times removed for me) I will be happy to trade information Terry R.
